A college degree is increasingly being removed as a job requirement, both in the public (government) and private (corporate) sectors.

Forbes magazine has been covering with applause the dropping of college degree requirements:

  • "some corners of the corporate world are siding with the no-degree-needed faction and eliminating degree requirements for jobs across their companies."[1]
  • "New Jersey Latest State To Stop Requiring Degrees For Some Jobs," noting that "Pennsylvania, Maryland, Colorado, North Carolina, Alaska and Utah" have likewise stopped requiring college degrees for many jobs.[2]
