Conflict resolution
Conflict resolution is an attempt to mitigate or eliminate conflict between two parties, often without regard to the issues that impelled the parties to the conflict.
"Conflict resolution" as we know it today, derives from the same source as does Marxist theory. This theory states: the root of all human conflict is class struggle, which means: the struggle between those who have material wealth and those who lack it. Lavish enough gifts on the two sides, and they need not conflict with one another.
As Prof. Paul Eidelberg (Bar-Ilan University, Israel) points out, this ignores certain imperatives that one or both parties might have to instigate the conflict, quite apart from any relative differences in the state of material abundance or scarcity between them. It ignores, for instance, the conflicts that arise within groups of persons, all enjoying the same level of material substance.
