In the words of Pontius Pilate, "What is truth?"

Truth

There are different kinds of "truth", and it would be great of a philosopher could contributer here, but moral or religious truth can be defined by religious sources. Then there are certain truths of the physical world, that, without getting into a deep epistomologic discussion, are clearly "true". For instance, physical constants, the speed of light, mathematics.

The rest of physical/scientific truth is investigated via the scientific method, and via it's ability to predict and produce results. If someone tells me that cyanide cures cancer, it is certainly true in one sense (dead people don't have cancer), but it is untrue in a fundamental sense.Palmd001 16:40, 21 March 2007 (EDT)
