Conservapedia talk:Manual of Style/Images

From Conservapedia
Jump to: navigation, search

At this time, these tags are not official, but I would like them worked on. More tags are needed for specific purposes (i.e. newspaper covers, movie posters, fair use, etc). As cited by several users, there are many images which have been uploaded to Conservapedia, and more than a few are not authorized to be here. Karajou 02:42, 14 June 2008 (EDT)

New tags

Anyone here is free to create new tags; please follow these guidlines:

  • Tags should be similar to the ones shown, following a traffic-sign format and color for simplicity
  • Wherever possible, tags should have the relevent law included within which authorizes use of the image, whether in public domain or copyright.
  • If creating a tag regarding public domain images authorized by a country, use the specific coat of arms from the country (not a flag) as the image within the tag.
  • If uploading images for newly-created tags, place them here [1]

The NASA tag seen here is to be replaced by the NASA seal, pending official permission for its use in Conservapedia. Please do not upload and post it until permission has been granted. Karajou 14:13, 16 June 2008 (EDT)
