The famous Copleston-Russell debate was a formal philosophical debate between philosophers Frederick Copleston (Christian) and Bertrand Russell (atheist) on the existence of God, which took place on BBC radio on January 28, 1948.

50th anniversary debate

On January 28, 1998, Christian debater William Lane Craig and then-atheist Antony Flew (who later became a theist) had a debate on the existence of God at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
