Dark Eagle hypersonic missile

The Dark Eagle hypersonic missile is a U.S. Army first generation intermediate-range hypersonic missile that was successfully tested on December 12, 2024.[1] According to the U.S. Army, the Dark Eagle hypersonic missile is expected to be fielded in 2025.[2] The Dark Eagle Eagle hypersonic missile, which was developed by Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman, has a range of 1,725 miles.[3]
The formal name for the Dark Eagle hypersonic missile is the Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW). This is despite it being an intermediate-range hypersonic missile.[4]
