Dennis Nilsen

Dennis Andrew Nilsen was a Scottish homosexual serial killer and necrophile responsible for the murder of at least 12 boys and men in London between 1978 and 1983, six of which he was convicted for, and at least two attempted murders.

Nilsen's crimes were all committed at two properties he lived in in North London in the late 1970s and early 1980s. His victims, all males aged 14 to 27, were coaxed into going home with Nilsen and murdered by strangulation. Drowning would sometimes follow. For each victim, Nilsen would fulfil a ritual in which he dressed and spoke to the corpse, before dissection and disposing of the remains.
