Domaining is the practice of purchasing registered domain names with the intention to sell them later at a higher price to interested parties.

People acting as brokers in this business are called "domainers".

Domaining is usually focused on "premium domain names" - domain names which are easy to remember, usually consisting of one or two real words, ending with the ".com" extension. Premium domain names are expected to have high commercial impact because of how easy they could stick in the minds of consumers.
