Dong Zhuo was a warlord during the Han dynasty. He usurped the imperial throne by capturing Emperor Xian after the Yellow Turban Rebellion. He was overthrown by a coalition of warlords led by Cao Cao and Yuan Shao, and killed by his adopted son Lu Bu.
