Doug LaMalfa (1960 – January 6, 2026) was a Republican congressman representing the 1st congressional district of California from 2013 until his unexpected death in 2026, a former California Assembly member from its 2nd district, and lifelong rice farmer. He was the Republican candidate for the 4th California Senate District in the 2010 election. In May 2022, LaMalfa voted for sending $40 billion to Ukraine.[1]
