The Dreamtime is a term used to describe the Australian aboriginal Creation myth. According to the myth, during the Dreamtime both the world and the Earth goddess were asleep. Out of the Earth Goddess's dream arose the earth, moon and sun. The dream continued until the earth was populated with kangaroos, wallabies, and all other manner of flora and fauna. When the earth goddess was done dreaming, she arose to find that she had created the universe, but that it was lacking in one essential component. So she thought for exactly six thousand years and eventually created man out of the clay from a river. Man then copulated with the earth goddess to create the first woman.
