Eclipse and relativity
From Conservapedia
Eclipse and relativity relate to how a solar eclipse enables, for a few minutes, the viewing by instruments from earth of distant starlight while it passes near the sun. The Theory of Relativity predicts a bending of the light due to the curvature of space inherent in the theory.
In 1919, after observing an eclipse then from a boat in the Atlantic Ocean, a dubious claim was made by Arthur Eddington of confirmation of the theory based on his observations. In 1923, Albert Einstein requested more accurate confirmation.
Yet no confirmation appears available in more than a century since then.
