Edmund Bonner (circa 1500 - 1569) was one of the last Roman Catholic Bishops affiliated with the royal family of England. As a historical figure, he is often the focus of anti-Catholic works. For an example of such a work with its popular ideas, see the third part of John Foxe's The Book of Martyrs (a.k.a Actes and Monuments).
