El Campo is a city in Texas, along the Texas Gulf Coast, located between Houston and Corpus Christi.
Notable residents of the city include:
- Roy Benavidez, Medal of Honor recipient
- Charles Swindoll, Christian minister
- Gene Cernan, astronaut who was the eleventh (and next to last) man to set foot on the Moon (and, as he was the last to enter the Apollo 17 capsule, the final manned mission to the Moon -- the astronauts re-entered the capsule in reverse order of their exit -- he holds the distinction of being the last person to have been on the Moon)
