Erich von Manstein

Erich von Manstein (1887–1973) was one of Nazi Germany's most prominent military commanders, often regarded as a very talented strategist during World War II. He rose to the rank of Field Marshall and played decisive roles in campaigns such as the invasion of France, the Siege of Sevastopol in the Crimea, the Battle of Stalingrad and Battle of Kursk.
