The Eurasian Blue Tit (Cyanistes caeruleus) is a small species of passerine bird found in Europe and parts of Asia.
Description
The Eurasian blue tit is 4.7 inches long, with a wingspan of 7.1 inches, and weighs about 0.39 ounces. It is blue above; the wings, tail and crown are azure in color, with a greyish-blue back. The wings bear white tips on the upperwing coverts, forming a horizontal stripe when at rest. The face is white, framed in black at the cheeks and chin, and an azure stripe behind each eye. The underside is yellowish. Young birds are more yellow throughout. The bird is also acrobatic, frequently seen in branches and feeders upside down.

Range and habitat
The Eurasian blue tit is found over much of continental Europe west of the Ural mountains, southward into Turkey, the Caucasus, Iran and the Levant. It is mainly found in deciduous woodlands and forests (though not coniferous forests), parks, and residential areas.
