Flight 144 (tract)
Flight 144 is a religious tract written by Jack Chick. It was originally printed in 1998, and remains an in-stock title. It is listed on their website under the subject "Basic Gospel" and also tagged as "Judgment Day".
The first scenes show that Flight 144 is in trouble (one engine is dead and another is on fire) and will likely crash.
The scene then is a flashback to three hours earlier, when the Davidsons (first names not given) are shown as leaving Africa for the United States, in order to raise money for another hospital. They are seated next to Ed, who tells of his conversion experience (he was saved while in prison for killing a man in a drunken brawl) and that his cellmate was the only person he has led to Christ. Ed expects to hear that the Davidsons have converted thousands; he learns, however, that their work was strictly with the "social gospel", not leading people to Christ. Ed is concerned that the Davidsons may not truly know Christ, but they reject his pleas as the plane crashes into the ocean, with no survivors.
Both Ed and the Davidsons are led to their judgment; the Davidsons hear God the Father proclaim "I never knew you, depart from me" (Matthew 7:23 KJV). When the Davidsons object, pleading their good works, they learn that their works mean nothing, and as they rejected Him, the final scene shows them being cast into Hell.
