George Yeardley

Sir George Yeardley (c. 1587 - November 1627) British governor of Virginia from 1616-1617, 1619 to 1621, and again from 1626 to 1627.

Yeardley returned to Virginia in April 1619. At the Virginia Companies direction he alotted land to people who had arrived before the spring of 1616.[1]
