Google Earth is a software program interposing a satellite map on a globe to create a virtual globe. Virtually every part of the world is included, and images of 3D buildings, locations of roads, attractions, and houses of worship, and other features are also included.

Google Earth was released in 2005, but the program existed under another name and owned by a different company since 2001.

Google Earth comes in a free version, a Pro version (for $400), and an Enterprise version.

Flight simulator

The program contains a flight simulator since version 4.2, which can be activated in this version by the key combinations Control+Alt+A, Control+A, or Command+Option+A. Newer versions contain the simulator on the menu.

Sky view

Google Earth also contains a view of the sky, in which the solar system and other bodies are viewed as a map.
