Greeneville, Tennessee

Greeneville is a town in east Tennessee, the county seat of Greene County. Although nearly every state has a city or town named Greenville, the Tennessee town is the only one with the distinctive spelling using the surname Greene.
It is best known as the home and resting place of former President Andrew Johnson (his resting place is a national cemetery named for him).
Alamo hero Davy Crockett was born in rural Greene County near the town.
