Greenwich Village

Greenwich Village is a district of New York City noted for its bohemian and artistic ambiance. It is often credited as the birthplace of the Beat Movement.

Its borders are 14th Street on the north, Houston Street on the south, Broadway to the east, and the Hudson River to the west.

Greenwich Village has been the home of numerous notable people, including Margaret Sanger.
