Harold Dallas Rogers (born December 31, 1937) is an American lawyer and politician from Republican Party serving his 21st term as the U.S. representative for Kentucky's 5th congressional district, having served since 1981. Upon Don Young's death in 2022, Rogers became the dean of the House of Representatives.
Positions
In terms of social issues, Rogers among most conservative representatives, he opposes both abortion and same-sex marriage.[1] He is very strict on border security and support wall border in Mexico borders. However on foreign policy he supported endless wars and he is one who for sending $40 billion to Ukraine.[2]
In November 2023, Representative Rogers joined sixty-nine other Republicans to vote to establish a new $300 million building to house the FBI, despite questions raised about the fairness of the agency to conservatives.[3]
