Harry Kane
Harry Kane (born 1993 in Leytonstone, Essex) is an English professional footballer (soccer player) best known for captaining the England national football team for whom he made his debut in 2015. He began playing for Bayern Munich in 2023, having previously played for Tottenham Hotspur starting in 2009.
In his style of play, he has been described as a hybrid of "number 9" and "number 10". A striker, rather than remaining static near the defensive line, he often pulls back into the midfield. This movement drags center-backs out of position, allowing wingers to exploit the open space. He has tended to rely on spatial awareness rather than raw pace, often reserving his runs until the precise moment to strike.
He has twice led England to the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup, being knocked out by Croatia in 2018 and Argentina in 2026. He also captained England in two consecutive Euro Finals in 2020 and 2024, though ultimately in losing efforts. Kane has been dubbed "the best player to never win a trophy".[1]
Outside of professional football, he also enjoys following the NFL and playing golf. He enjoyed a round of golf around early 2025 with 45th and 47th US President Donald Trump at Palm Beach, Florida, which Kane described as "surreal".[2] Trump himself is a fan of Harry Kane.
