The House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) is a common passerine bird in the family Passeridae. It is native to Europe and Asia, but it has also been introduced to North America. The male bird has a brown cap on his head with black cheeks, the female has a gray head. It is one of the most familiar birds people see, due to the fact that a lot of people feed them with bird seed from bird feeders.
