Impact Wrestling (formerly known as Total Nonstop Action Wrestling until March 2, 2017) is an American professional wrestling organization founded in 2002 by wrestler Jeff Jarrett and his father Jerry Jarrett. Impact is the first major wrestling promotion outside of Mexico to use the six-sided ring, and as TNA, it had exclusive rights to the National Wrestling Alliance's World Heavyweight and Tag Team Championships, until the then-TNA's contract agreement with the NWA expired in May 2007. Impact's main television program, also called Impact Wrestling, currently airs on CBS-owned cable network Pop.[1]
