"In the Mood" is an instrumental jazz piece performed by the Glenn Miller Orchestra, composed by Joe Gartland.[1] It was played by the Hayes Band and by Artie Shaw before Glenn Miller played it, after which it was played frequently on the radio and featured in the film Sun Valley Serenade.[2]
