Inclined plane

The Inclined plane is a simple machine which makes things easier to move. The inclined plane provides a mechanical advantage by lengthening the distance the force must be exerted over. This mechanical advantage is equal to the length of the slope divided by the height of the slope, when force is exerted parallel to the slope.
