The Indo-Pacific is a vast region spanning the Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean, central to global biodiversity, trade, and geopolitics. It includes countries from East Africa to the North America and South America. It originated as a Japanese formula to justify including India in efforts to balance Chinese influence in Southeast Asia.
