Isabel Martínez de Perón was a prominent politician from Argentina. Known as Isabelita, she served as Vice President and First Lady of Argentina from 1973 to 1974, and she served as president after the death of Juan Domingo Perón in 1974 until 1976.

She was married to the former Argentine dictator, Perón.

It was overthrown on March 24, 1976, by the National Reorganization Process. The Armed Forces kept her in detention for five years. In 1981, she was released and went to live in Spain, where she currently remains.
