Ivan Samoylovych

Ivan Samoylovych (Ukrainian: Іван Самойлович) was the Hetman of Left-bank Ukraine from 1672 to 1687. His tenure of office was marked by further incorporation of the Ukrainian Kozak Hetmanate into the Russian Empire and by repeated attempts to win the Right-bank Ukraine from Poland.
