Jacksonville, Texas

Jacksonville is a city in east Texas, located south of Tyler.

It is known for its production of tomatoes; the local high school football stadium is called the Tomato Bowl.

Jacksonville College and the Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary, both owned and operated by the Baptist Missionary Association of America,[1] are located in the city. It also previously housed Lon Morris College, a junior college operated by the United Methodist Church, until it closed in 2012.
