Jaime Guzmán

Jaime Guzmán Errázuriz (1946-1991) was a Chilean politician, Constitutionalist lawyer and University teacher who founded the Independent Democrat Union party, the binomial electoral system, the Guildist Movement of the Catholic University of Chile, the Realidad magazine and who wrote a great part of the 1980 Chilean Constitution. He served as a senator between 1990 and 1991.

In 1 April 1991 he was murdered by a the leftist terrorist Ricardo Palma Salamanca who escaped jail and is now been protected by the French justice.
