Jane Eyre is a novel by Charlotte Brontë that is highly moral but also slightly feminist. It is written predominately from a female perspective as the narrator shares her confidential emotions and feelings at length with the reader.

Liberals tend to like and push this novel because it rebels against Victorian standards, including gender.

This novel is harsh about a wealthy aunt who is portrayed as cruel, while sympathetic to a kinder servant.
