Janice Rogers Brown

Judge Janice Rogers Brown (b. May 11, 1949) presides on the Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

She was appointed by President George W. Bush and virulently opposed by liberal Senators before being confirmed by a narrow partisan vote of 56-43, after her nomination had been stalled for two years despite her stellar judicial background that including serving as a California Supreme Court Justice from 1996 to 2005.
