Jevons's rule of logic
Jevons's rule of logic or Jevons's elementary rule of logic, stated in Latin as flasa in uno falsa in omnibus, is simply expressing the obvious that a single absolute conflict between fact and hypothesis is fatal to the hypothesis. It is named after W. Stanley Jevons, who articulated this rule in his book The principles of science – A Treatise on Logic and the Scientific Method.
