Johnny Damon is a Major League Baseball player who currently plays outfield for the New York Yankees. Prior to that he was a high-profile player for the Boston Red Sox, and played a role in their World Series victory in 2004 (the first for the Sox in 86 years). His departure from the Sox to join their arch-rival Yankees in 2006 made him go from being one of Boston's most-loved players to most hated. While playing for the Red Sox he was well known for his long hair and unkempt beard.
