The Just-world fallacy, or Just-world hypothesis, is a belief and logical fallacy that good people are always rewarded for their actions within their lifetimes, evil people are always punished for their actions in the same manner, and that nothing significant ever happens to anyone at random, either fairly or unfairly.[1][2][3][4]. These beliefs are the foundation for many conspiracy theories, and fail to take into account the basic conservative truth that reality extends beyond the mortal plane.
