Karyaes

Karyaes, also Kariaí or Karyes, is a town and administrative center of the Autonomous Monastic State of the Holy Mountain, on the Oros Athos peninsula, in northeastern Greece. The town is home to the representatives of the monasteries and has a population of 235 (1981), all Orthodox monks.[1]
