Khizr Khan
Khizr Khan (born 1950) is a Pakistani-American Islamic scholar and New York State lawyer, who spoke at the Democratic National Convention in 2016. He is the father of the late Humayun Khan, a US Army Captain, who died in action in Iraq in 2004.
He published articles on Sharia, while living in the United Arab Emirates.
He then came to the US, to study for a one-year LL M degree at Harvard Law School.
After receiving his degree, he moved to Maryland, where his son went to high school.
From 1998 - 2007 he worked in information technology at Hogan and Hartson, a law firm, with ties to the Clinton Foundation.
He was registered as a lawyer in New York State in 2010, where he practiced as an immigration lawyer, helping foreign clients obtain E2 and EB5 visas.
His website was changed to remove the fact that he helped clients obtain immigration visas after his appearance at the Democratic National Convention.
