Kochtopus

Kochtopus is the pejorative name given to the peddling of influence by the Koch brothers in a strategic, often secretive way, to many organizations and candidates.[1]

The Koch brothers deliberately disguise that they are source of many large donations to organizations, and they have even attempted to take over longstanding organizations such as Cato. They did "succeed" in replacing the co-founder and longtime leader of Cato, Ed Crane, with the Koch brothers' choice instead.
