Lambert's Cafe
From Conservapedia
Lambert's Cafe is a restaurant chain specializing in traditional Southern food, founded in Sikeston, Missouri in 1942. It is famously referred to as "Home of the Throwed Rolls."
History
Lambert's Cafe was first opened in 1942 by Earl and Agnes Lambert of Sikeston. Originally located downtown, it moved several times before reaching its present site on East Malone Avenue. A second restaurant was opened in Ozark, Missouri in 1994, followed by a third in Foley, Alabama.
The so-called "throwed rolls" date back to 1976, when Norman Lambert, son of the founders, was passing out hot rolls to customers. Due to the packed conditions, he began throwing them out across the room, starting a tradition that has continued to this day.[1]
