Life After People

Life After People is a documentary television series featured on History Channel. Originally a special two-hour show first broadcast in January 2008, the network expanded it to a series for two seasons during 2009-2010. After a 15-year hiatus a third season aired in the summer of 2025.
The premise of the series is that humanity had disappeared (it never delves into how humans disappeared) and explores what would happen to buildings and the animal kingdom in the absence of humanity. During the show, an actual place which had suffered severe deterioration (such as a ghost town or a decaying city) is featured.
