Mapai

Mapai (Hebrew: מפא"י) or Mifleget Poalei Eretz Yisrael (Hebrew: מפלגת פועלי ארץ ישראל Land of Israel Workers' Party) was a left-wing political party in Israel formed in 1931. In 1965 it merged with the Labour Unity party to form the Alignment party. In 1992 Labour Unity, Mapai and Rafi again merged to form the current Labour Party.
