Holy Thursday

Holy Thursday is the day of the Last Supper. This holy day is part of the celebration and remembrance of Holy Week. The Anglican Church uses the term "Maundy Thursday"[1] whereas the Roman Catholic Church prefers "Holy Thursday."[2] Many other Christian denominations commonly use both.

Maundy Thursday is most significant because it is the day of the Last Supper. Many Christian denominations include Washing of the Feet during their liturgical celebrations, an act that Jesus performed for his Apostles during the Last Supper.

There have been claims that the Last Supper did not actually occur on the Thursday before Jesus' crucifixion, but rather the Wednesday before.[3] However, no significant religious figures have accepted this.
