McGruff the Crime Dog

McGruff the Crime Dog is a fictional animated dog introduced in July 1980. He is famous for appearing in PSAs relating to organized crime prevention. He dresses up in stereotypical detective or secret agent attire. His slogan is "Take a bite out of crime".
