The Mises Institute is a libertarian institute, often supporting anarcho-capitalism, that promotes Austrian economics, liberty, individualism, and the free market and criticizes war, leftism, and big government. It was founded in 1982 by Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr. and is named after Ludwig von Mises, following his ideology as well as that of Murray Rothbard. It has online classes, a library containing various books, most of which are available in digital form for free, videos and daily commentary, and The Austrian, which is published six times every year.[1]
