Operation Mockingbird
Operation Mockingbird is a CIA operation that entailed placing CIA agents in various news media to influence and shape public opinion and perceptions. By law, the CIA is supposed to be banned from interfering in domestic politics.
In 2013 a CIA contractor, Jeff Bezos, whose Amazon.com won a $450 million per year no-bid contract to provide internet hosting services to CIA, took the proceeds of the sale and promptly bought The Washington Post for $250 million in what the IRS claims is a so-called "arms-length transaction". The Washinton Post, or WaPo for short, is a highly influential domestic policy publication on both the United States Congress and American public opinion.
Beginning in 2015 the Obama/Biden intelligence community colluded with the Washington Post, owned by paid CIA contractor Jeff Bezos, to peddle the Russiagate hoax in an effort to influence US domestic politics.
