Monsters, Inc.

Monsters, Inc. is a 2001 animated film by Pixar starring John Goodman as James P. Sullivan "Sulley" and Billy Crystal as Mike Wazowski. The film takes place in the city of Monstropolis, inhabited by monsters. The Monsters use the screams of children for energy, with Sulley working as one of the scarers, and is the top performer, Mike is his scare assistant. As a human child gets stuck in the Monster's world, and Sulley discovers her, its up to Mike and him to save her, as the monsters see her as a threat. As the movie progresses they learn that Boo is being kidnapped in order to extract her screams, as the kidnappers are just crony capitalists. They then banish Sulley and Mike, in order to hide their crime. However the heroes return to not only save Boo but the corporation itself after learning they can use the kids laughter which is more powerful then screams for energy.
