Naboth is a character from the Old Testament, who owned a vineyard near King Ahab's palace. Jezebel plotted to get Naboth's land for Ahab by inciting people to stone Naboth to death on trumped up charges.

Ahab was to be punished by God for this act, but he begged Elijah's mercy and was released from punishment. The Punishment fell to Ahab's son, Joram. See 2 Kings chapter 9.
