Naftali Bennett

Naftali Bennett served -briefly- as the 13th prime minister of Israel from June 13, 2021 to June 30, 2022.

Bennett has some contradictory history.

Business Insider described him the "tech millionaire son of Berkeley 'left-wingers'."[1] However, he was formerly an activist in Conservatives' Judea Samaria activities (including in what the MSM calls "settlement").

Then he had disappointed many conservatives[2] when setting up a coalition which included leftists and even the Islamic Ra'am party. On the other hand, the anti-Israel vocal ranting paper Haaretz (which represents a small percentage in that country) who attacked him prior to that, supported him because of that.

He succeeded in being elected at the time, as left smeared Netanyahu and around the time that NSO - Pegasus was used against Netanyahu and against his right wing government.[3]

In 2022, Netanyahu demanded a “strong and independent investigation” into the alleged police misuse of sophisticated spyware against him, calling it a “black day for Israel” as proceedings in his trial were put on hold. [4]

In Mar. 2020, the Arab, Jihadists-apologetic, MK Aida Suleiman was accused of racism and lying, spreading libels by Bennet.[5]

Bella Hadid: promoting vicious libel, fake quote on Bennett

In June, 2021, Bella Hadid promoted a viciously lie, libel, a fake invented quote (first by the unreliable-source Haaretz[12]) pushed by a racist lying radical Arab MK in Israel (Haneen Zoabi[13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24]) against Naftali Bennett, while what he actually said is, that he killed "many terrorists." Not "many Arabs."[25][26][27]

During a speech in which she said that ISIS were not terrorists, Zoabi attempted to equivocate Islamic “militant groups” with Israeli military actions.

Setting her sights on Bennett, she brought up the fact that he had served in an elite unit in the IDF and claimed that he was proud of killing Arabs.

“We have here ministers and Knesset members who are proud they’ve killed! The Education Minister [then Bennett] said, ‘in my time…I’ve killed Arabs,’” Zoabi said, referencing a quote that was widely circulated in Arab media.

The quote alleged that Bennett said, “I’ve killed many Arabs in my life, and I’m proud of it” or an alternative version,“I’ve killed many Arabs, and I have no problem with that.”

Bennett took to the podium directly after Zoabi to correct her. “I never said that,” Bennett said.

“What I actually said was that within the framework of my army service, we killed a lot of terrorists, and that’s a good thing, and it’s a shame that we didn’t kill more terrorists, because anyone who tries to hurt the State of Israel should die.”

But the debunked Bennett quote is not the first time Hadid has published a fake quote attributed to an Israel politician.

In May, she reposted an image from an account called zionism.unveiled, which read, “@ayelet.shaked, the former minister of justice for Israel, the same Israeli politician who encouraged genocide against the Palestinians, specifically pregnant mothers, made a statement on how 95% of content they’ve asked Facebook to remove has been removed.”

“This is actually frightening, they are committing ethnic cleansing and do not want the world to know about it!”

Shaked responded publicly, writing, “Bella, you should be ashamed for sharing the completely false and deeply offensive lie that I ever called for ‘genocide.’

“It’s this kind of baseless demonization that is encouraging antisemitic violence. Unlike Hamas and its supporters, we target terrorists and protect civilians.”

Confronting CNN's Amanpour

Interviewing Bennett in Apr 2022, as usual, CNN's Amanpour started off from the middle, from the point of Israeli defensive actions which came after a string of Arab massacres of innocent Israeli civilians. The same as regarding Israeli police action after Muslims attacked, using Al Aqsa Mosque.[28]

    Now it becomes clear why the Israeli left has stood as a wall against any ongoing attempt to amend or demand change in the law enforcement and judicial system.

    They realized that the only way to overthrow the right-wing government is through these systems that must not be left under the control of the extreme leftist elite. The exposure on the Pegasus system is a golden opportunity for a real cleaning of the stables in the vacuum systems, the light of justice will clean the clouds of dust in the form of a criminal shame that has penetrated deeply into the holy of holies of Israeli democracy.

At the cabinet meeting, I suggested that we stop endangering our soldiers and go out of our way to capture terrorists alive, because then the state releases them anyway. A terrorist who endangers the lives of our soldiers during its operation, it must be eliminated."

    Yesterday it was published in Haaretz newspaper that I said: "I have killed a lot (as it were) of Arabs in my life, and there is no problem with that" and also "If you catch terrorists, you should just kill them."

    For the avoidance of doubt: the things were not said. At the government meeting, I suggested that we stop endangering our soldiers and go out of our way to capture terrorists alive, because then the state releases them anyway. A terrorist who endangers the lives of our soldiers during his actions should be eliminated.

    Haaretz is allowed to think differently.

    Naftali Bennett is under fire as misquoted comments about the Prime Ministers' intentions to kill Palestinians have been shared by Bella Hadid and Al Jazeera publication, AJ+.

    Bennett, in a Knesset briefing in 2015, clarified that he was inaccurately quoted by former Joint List party member Haneen Zoabi as saying that "I killed a lot of Arabs in my life" when what he actually said was that he had killed many terrorists in the context of his army service. 

    Bennett added at the time that "this is good – and it is a shame we didn't kill more terrorists."

    Prime Minister Naftali Bennett was interviewed on Wednesday by Christiane Amanpour of CNN and grilled on the latest wave of violence and its implications for his and his government's political future. Asked to explain why he allowed IDF soldiers to enter the Al Aqsa Mosque, given the fact that the footage is then broadcast over the world and inflames tensions, Bennett replied, "As usual, you're starting in the middle of the story.

    "Last Friday, 300 Palestinians barricaded themselves on the Temple Mount, preventing other Muslims from praying," Bennett continued, as Amanpour grimaced. "My responsibility is to ensure freedom of religion for everyone, and that's why I was obligated to send in police officers ... enabling 80 thousand Muslims to pray there peacefully afterward... I had to send in policemen to remove the rioters. And it worked. "When faced with violence you have to act tough," Bennett added...

    "What you've been projecting is blatantly false," responded Bennett. "I object to the symmetry you're trying to create here ... who's getting murdered? We're not seeing Israelis murdering Palestinians." Over Amanpour's protests, the Prime Minister continued: "I also object - these are not occupied territories...

    "Israel is peaceful," he said. "About a month ago, unfortunately, a new wave of terror was thrown upon the Israeli public. We lost 14 people in four terror attacks. In Tel Aviv center, Arab Muslim terrorists, some of them affiliated with ISIS, came with rifles and started shooting people on the street. This is unacceptable.

    "I object to the notion of 'both sides.' When they don't attack us, we have no issue with them. But when they do attack us, I have to fight back and hit them at their terror bases. That's what any leader would do and that's what I'm doing."

    Bennett explained that when Israel pulled out of Gaza over a decade ago, pulling back to the '67 lines, “What we got in return is hell, tens of thousands of rockets shot at us.

    "I’m not in the business of playing experiments on the Israeli people," he stressed. "What I am doing is people to people peace. Bottom up. Getting more jobs for Palestinians, better paying jobs. Improving the economy. That’s what I believe in. And I have to say the Palestinians are experiencing unprecedented prosperity."
